studio YOG is a Korean animation artist duo, active in various fields such as short animation, media art, music video, virtual character, and VR. Their first work, <Shall we take a walk?>, expressed the senses of visually impaired children through animation, which received a great response from international film festivals. <FERUZA>, a documentary film, was introduced in various media such as KBS 9 o'clock News, containing the growth story of an Ethiopian girl they met while traveling around the world. The short animation <CITY>, which presents a new perspective on the city, was also introduced at many international film festivals and exhibitions. They are producing the NFT series <Human Pixel> by expanding the worldview of <CITY>.
The theme they consistently pay attention to through these work activities is 'Expansion of Umwelt (subjectively perceived world)'. They believe that the world becomes a little more colorful and warmer by recognizing that all beings live only in their own Umwelt, by striving to understand the Umwelt of others, and by each striving to expand their own Umwelt.
YOG는 단편 애니메이션, 미디어 아트, 뮤직비디오, 가상 캐릭터, VR 등 다양한 분야에서 활동하는 대한민국의 애니메이션 아티스트 듀오입니다. 그들의 첫 작품 <산책가>는 시각장애아들의 감각을 애니메이션으로 표현해 국제영화제에서 큰 호응을 얻었습니다. <페루자>는 그들이 세계일주를 하며 만난 한 에티오피아 소녀의 성장 스토리를 담은 다큐멘터리로, KBS 9시 뉴스 등 각종 매체에 소개된 바 있습니다. 도시에 대한 새로운 시각을 제시하는 단편 애니메이션 <CITY> 역시 많은 국제 영화제와 전시회에서 소개되었는데, 최근에는 <CITY>의 아트웍과 세계관을 확장하는 NFT 시리즈 <Human Pixel>을 제작하고 있습니다.
그들은 늘 보이지 않는 것에 주목하고, 색다른 시선을 상상하기를 즐깁니다. 모든 존재가 자신의 움벨트(주관적인 감각세계) 안에서 살고 있음을 인식하고, 다른 존재를 이해하려 노력하는 과정을 통해서 세상이 조금 더 다채롭고 따뜻해진다고 믿습니다.
